How to jailbreak any iOS 6 device (iPhone 3gs, 4, 4s)

What Is Jailbreak?

Jailbreaking an iOS-device is no longer as challenging a task as it used to be. What was once a prerogative of the tech-savvy millennials has now become a mainstream. So what makes jailbreaking so popular?

Jailbreaking is a process of removing any restrictions on iOS, or breaking its file system open, to be able to modify it the way you want. Jailbreaking allows iOS users to install any applications, programs or games that come from outside of Apple’s App Store – the official content service of the Apple company.

The first jailbreak app appeared when iOS users got pretty much fed up with having to pay for apps and games they wanted to install and so they chose to hack their devices to remove any limitations imposed by Apple.

What Opportunities Does Jailbreak Give?
  • Access to Cydia. Jailbreakers created Cydia as an alternative to the traditional Apple’s App Store. It has a great variety of apps to help you increase your phone’s functionality, design, networking abilities and productivity.
  • Improved Customization. Who doesn’t want to have an iPhone that looks unique and personalized? By jailbreaking your iOS device, you will be given a free hand in customizing your phone to your liking. When your iPhone is hacked, you will be able to change the way your icons look, change their size, add new icons to your springboard, increase the storage capacity of your folders, choose new themes etc.
  • Enhanced iOS Security. No matter what they say, jailbreak does not make your device less protected or more vulnerable. Do not be afraid to jailbreak the phone since it will only give you improved security options. For example if you jailbreak an iPhone, you will be able to install a cool cell phone monitoring app that will help you track any activity on the device in real time. Sounds great, doesn’t it?
