1. Guard Your Personal Data Online

5. Shred Documents With Improtant Data
Shred all important documents (receipts, solicitations, bank statements), which may contain some private info (social security number, credit card data etc.) before you throw them to the trash can.
6. Change Passwords. Use Complex Ones
Try to use different and complex passwords to protect your most important and valuable online-accounts. You can even write them down, but keep this info in a safe place like a locked drawer. Do not forget to wipe out all data and format each hard disk, once you get rid of an old PC or MAC.
